We have seen strong growth in employee participation in our Corporate Volunteering Program. Employees report that they find volunteering highly fulfilling and value the opportunities PriceSmart provides to give back to their communities.

Many PriceSmart employees also volunteer with the PriceSmart Foundation, underscoring the importance of the close, mutually reinforcing relationship between the two entities. This creates a virtuous cycle in which engaged, satisfied employees are better positioned to perform at their best.

A significant undertaking has been the refresh of our materiality analysis, a process that helped us more clearly identify the topics most important to our stakeholders. This ensures that PriceSmart’s sustainability initiatives remain focused, relevant, and efficient.

We have also come to appreciate that sustainability reporting itself is helping make us a better company. The process of gathering data and ensuring its integrity has enabled us to identify gaps, uncover opportunities for improvement, and improve the efficiency of data collection.

We will continue to expand our communication efforts to further integrate sustainability across the organization and raise awareness internally and externally. Reporting on our sustainability activities encourages us to quantify the value they create, making the stories we share more compelling and impactful.
